Frequency Conversion Drive system of Main Exhaust Fan Motor of a Steel Sintering Machine in Hebei Province
As a professional energy-saving service provider and high-power converter manufacturer in China, Schorch Electric has put more than 100 sets of converters into operation, many of which are products with extremely high technical difficulty. For example: the frequency conversion system for synchronous motor of the sintering main extraction synchronous motor in metallurgical industry and click frequency conversion optimization system of blast furnace blower; click frequency conversion system of the boiler feed pump and the frequency conversion system of induced draft fan, fan motor in power industry; the customized frequency conversion system with encoder feedback plus resistance braking type, such as the pilot station system, and the main features are the large inertia system, closed-loop control.
A project of sintering main exhaust fan (four sets of 10kV, 4900kW, 2×260 m², process of double-converters and double-exhaust fans process) of an iron and steel company in Hebei was successfully put into operation on April 6th, 2017. The successful operation of this project has important significance and far-reaching influence on the enrichment of high-power frequency conversion performance and the expansion of metallurgical industry performance of Schorch Electric. The converters of this project adopt the industry's most advanced power unit bypass, zero drift, wireless remote monitoring and other functions. The auxiliary cooling system adopts 8 sets of air-water cooling, and each set of frequency converter is equipped with 2 sets of air-water cooling. At the same time, 1 set of cooling tower has been newly built, with 1 cooling water circulating pump for use and 1 for standby, which completely has realized the closed-loop control of indoor temperature. As of July 2020, the failure rate of the frequency converter was only 1 in 1,000, causing no downtime accidents. After the project was put into operation, the average annual power saving rate was 12%, the annual power saving was more than 18 million kWh, and the annual benefit was 9.36 million yuan with the electricity cost of 0.52 yuan/kWh. In addition, under the operation of frequency converter, the motor starting process is relatively stable, and the impacts on the motor, fan and power grid are smaller than that of the industrial frequency starting, which greatly prolongs the service life of the motor fan and reduces the labor intensity of employees and mechanical maintenance costs.
